Print Quality
How is the quality of your design prints?
All of our designs that you see on the website have the highest resolution possible with a width of 10800 pixels and 300 dpi (dots-per-inch). This means that your designs will look top-notch on any apparel printed on, be it t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, or tote bags. We want to ensure that our customers get the best in terms of quality and we hate to see any pixelated designs printed out just as you do. So, rest assured that whatever you order, your merch will be filled with stunning vibrant colors!
What is unlimited color embroidery?
Unlimited color embroidery is a new feature that allows us to embroider multi-color, gradient, or simple designs with no color limitations. Primarily, it uses a white, recycled polyester thread that’s colored during embroidery.
For certain design areas with single, solid colors (for example, a large black area), it uses the standard embroidery threads. This adjustment allows us to create thinner and less stiff embroideries, while maintaining the superior quality Printful is known for.
Why does my design look different from what I intended?
There are some types of direct-to-garment printing designs that can come out different than expected. That's because for designs to be visible on all non-white items, we use a white underbase—a mix of white color and the color you added in your design.
